SAT & ACT Math Practice & Step-by-Step AI Solver
Missed a practice question and the answer key only says “C”? Snap it and get a narrated whiteboard video that shows the fastest valid method, plus a written solution you can review.
Most SAT and ACT Math points are lost on questions students could solve with more time or a cleaner method. Reviewing mistakes is where scores improve — but only if you understand why the right answer is right.
Doubtclip explains each practice question the way a good tutor would: what the question is really testing, the quickest approach, and the trap the wrong options are built around. It works for the digital SAT, the ACT and school algebra and geometry homework.
Who it is for
High-school juniors and seniors
Preparing for the digital SAT or the ACT and reviewing official practice tests.
International applicants
Students in the UK, Canada, Australia, India and elsewhere applying to US colleges who need clear explanations in English or Hinglish.
Students rebuilding algebra
If linear equations or functions feel shaky, each video walks through the method slowly enough to follow.
How it works
Step 1
Snap, upload or paste
Photograph the question from your textbook or worksheet, drop in a screenshot from your homework portal, or paste the text. Diagrams, graphs and circuit drawings come along with the image.
Step 2
AI solves it step by step
Doubtclip identifies the skill being tested, solves it with a clear method, and — for multiple choice — shows why the other options fail. Graphs, tables and geometry figures from your screenshot are used directly.
Step 3
Watch the video, keep the steps
You get a narrated whiteboard video, a written step-by-step solution you can check line by line, and PDF notes to revise from later.
SAT & ACT Math topics covered
Linear equations (Heart of Algebra)
Solving, rearranging and interpreting slope and intercept in word problems.

Sample question walkthrough
SAT Math style · Quadratics
The equation x² − 6x + k = 0 has exactly one real solution. What is the value of k?
- A quadratic ax² + bx + c = 0 has exactly one real solution when its discriminant b² − 4ac equals zero.
- Here a = 1, b = −6 and c = k, so the discriminant is (−6)² − 4(1)(k) = 36 − 4k.
- Set 36 − 4k = 0, which gives k = 9.
- Check: x² − 6x + 9 = (x − 3)², which has the single solution x = 3.
Answer: k = 9
The video also shows the faster “perfect square” spot — recognising (x − 3)² — which saves time on test day.
A smarter way to review practice tests
After each practice section, list every question you missed or guessed. Scan each one, watch the explanation, then redo the question from scratch without looking. If you still cannot do it, that topic goes on your revision list for the week.
Group your mistakes by topic from the list above. Most students find two or three topics cause most of their lost points — that is where focused practice pays off fastest.

FAQ
Does it work for the digital SAT?
Yes. Take a screenshot of the practice question (including any graph or table) and upload it. The explanation follows the same content areas — algebra, advanced math, problem solving and data analysis, and geometry and trigonometry.
Can it help with ACT Math too?
Yes. ACT Math covers similar algebra, functions, geometry and trig, with a stronger emphasis on speed. Explanations point out shortcuts where they are valid.
Will it explain why the wrong answer choices are wrong?
For multiple-choice questions it explains the correct option and the common mistake behind each tempting wrong option, so you can spot the trap next time.
Does it handle student-produced response (grid-in) questions?
Yes. It solves the question fully and gives the answer in a form you could enter, such as a fraction or decimal.
Is Doubtclip free?
You can try it with a small number of free doubt videos on a new account. Ongoing use is on paid plans — see the pricing page. The free calculators linked on this page cost nothing to use.
