Question 17 of 180

A parallel plate capacitor has 1μF1\mu F capacitance. One of its two plates is given +2μC+2\mu C charge and the other plate, +4μC+4\mu C charge. The potential difference developed across the capacitor is:

Show answer and solution

Answer: (A) 1V1V

Charge inside capacitor
=1μC=1\mu C
V=QC=1×10−61×10−6=1V=\dfrac{Q}{C}=\dfrac{1\times {10}^{-6}}{1\times {10}^{-6}}=1 volt
