Figure shows a network of capacitors where the number indicates capacitances in micro Farad. The value of capacitance C if the equivalent capacitance between point A and B is to be 1μF1\mu F is :

Answer: (A) 3223μF\dfrac{32}{23}\mu F

Ceq{C}_{eq} of circuit =329μF=\dfrac{32}{9}\text{μF} (excludingC)\left(excludingC\right)

Now 329μF\dfrac{32}{9}\text{μF}is in series with CC so,

1Ceq=1C+932=1\dfrac{1}{{C}_{eq}}=\dfrac{1}{C}+\dfrac{9}{32}=1

⇒C=3223μF\Rightarrow C=\dfrac{32}{23}\text{μF}
