Question 118 of 200

Which figure shows the correct variation of applied potential difference (V) with photoelectric current (I) at two different intensities of light (I1<I2)\left(\mathrm{I}_1 \lt \mathrm{I}_2\right) of same wavelengths :

Show answer and solution

Answer: (B)

Given lights are of same wavelength.
Hence stopping potential will remain same.

Since
I2>I1I_2\gt I_1, hence saturation current corresponding to I2\mathrm{I}_2 will be greater than that corresponding to I1\mathrm{I}_1.
