Question 15 of 121

A body is moving with constant speed, in a circle of radius 10m10m. The body completes one revolution in 4s4s. At the end of 3rd3rd second, the displacement of body (in mm) from its starting point is:

Show answer and solution

Answer: (D) 10210\sqrt{2}

Give:
r=10mr=10m, T=4sT=4s.
Displacement is defined to be the change in position of an object. As we can see from the above figure, displacement will be
d=r2+r2d=\sqrt{{r}^{2}+{r}^{2}}
⇒d=102m\Rightarrow d=10\sqrt{2}m
