Question 163 of 280

A body rotating with an angular speed of 600rpm600rpm is uniformly accelerated to 1800rpm1800rpm in 10sec⁡.10\sec . The number of rotations made in the process is

Show answer and solution

Answer: 200

ωf=ω0+αt{\omega }_{f}={\omega }_{0}+\alpha t
α=1200×6\alpha =1200\times 6
θ=ω0t+12αt2\theta ={\omega }_{0}t+\dfrac{1}{2}\alpha {t}^{2}
=600×1060+12×1200×6×136=600\times \dfrac{10}{60}+\dfrac{1}{2}\times 1200\times 6\times \dfrac{1}{36}
θ=200\theta =200
