Rotational Motion

JEE Main level, single correct, medium

209 of 280

Question 209 of 280

Angular momentum of a single particle moving with constant speed along circular path :

Show answer and solution

Answer: (B) remains same in magnitude and direction

The angular momentum is defined as the vector product of linear momentum and perpendicular distance,
L⃗=r⃗×p⃗=r⃗×mv⃗\vec{L}=\vec{r}\times \vec{p}=\vec{r}\times m\vec{v}, And direction will be upward & remain constant.
