Recall the formula of impedance is in terms of resistance, Z=(XL−XC)2+R2Z=\sqrt{{\left({X}_{L}-{X}_{C}\right)}^{2}+{R}^{2}}, here, the condition of resonance, XL=XC{X}_{L}={X}_{C}, it means,
Z=(XL−XL)2+R2=RZ=\sqrt{{\left({X}_{L}-{X}_{L}\right)}^{2}+{R}^{2}}=R
