Question 128 of 190

In LCLC circuit the inductance L=40mHL=40mH and capacitance C=100μF.C=100\mu F. If a voltage V(t)=10sin(314t)V\left(t\right)=10sin\left(314t\right) is applied to the circuit, the current in the circuit is given as:

Show answer and solution

Answer: (A) 0.52cos⁡⁡(314t)0.52\cos ⁡\left(314t\right)

z=R2+(XC−XL)2z=\sqrt{{R}^{2}+{\left({X}_{C}-{X}_{L}\right)}^{2}}
R=0R=0
Z=XC−XLZ={X}_{C}-{X}_{L}
=1ωC−ωL=\dfrac{1}{\omega C}-\omega L
=1314×100×10−6−314×40×10−3=\dfrac{1}{314\times 100\times {10}^{-6}}-314\times 40\times {10}^{-3}
=31.84−12.56=31.84-12.56
=19.28Ω=19.28\Omega

i=V0Zsin⁡⁡(314t+π2)i=\dfrac{{V}_{0}}{Z}\sin ⁡\left(314t+\dfrac{\pi }{2}\right)
∴i=V0Zcos⁡⁡(314t)⇒i=1019.28cos⁡⁡(314t)∴i=\dfrac{{V}_{0}}{Z}\cos ⁡\left(314t\right)\Rightarrow i=\dfrac{10}{19.28}\cos ⁡\left(314t\right)
⇒i=0.52cos⁡⁡(314t)\Rightarrow i=0.52\cos ⁡\left(314t\right)
