JEE Main level, single correct, medium

35 of 165

Question 35 of 165

If frequency of electromagnetic wave is 60MHz60MHz and it travels in air along zz direction then the corresponding electric and magnetic field vectors will be mutually perpendicular to each other and the wavelength of the wave (inm)\left(inm\right) is :

Show answer and solution

Answer: (C) 55

As speed of electromagnetic wave is given by, c=fλc=f\lambda. Therefore,
λ=cf=3×10860×106=5m\lambda =\dfrac{c}{f}=\dfrac{3\times {10}^{8}}{60\times {10}^{6}}=5m.
