Question 182 of 210

Given in the figure are two blocks
AA and BB of weight 20N20N and 100N100N, respectively. These are being pressed against a wall by a force FF and kept in equilibrium as shown. If the coefficient of friction between the blocks is 0.10.1 and between block BB and the wall is 0.150.15, the frictional force applied by the wall on block BB is:

Show answer and solution

Answer: (D) 120N120N

For complete state equilibrium of the system. The state friction on the block
BB by the wall will balance the total weight 120N120N of the system.
