Question 145 of 190

In the circuit shown here, the point 'CC' is kept connected to point AA '' till the current flowing through the circuit becomes constant. Afterward, suddenly, point 'CC' is disconnected from point AA '' and connected to point 'BB' at time t=0t=0. Ratio of the voltage across resistance and the inductor at t=LRt=\dfrac{L}{R} will be equal to :

Show answer and solution

Answer: (C) - 1

Applying Kirchhoff's law in closed loop,

−VR−VL=0-{V}_{R}-{V}_{L}=0

⇒VRVL=−1\Rightarrow \dfrac{{V}_{R}}{{V}_{L}}=-1
