Answer: (B) 16H16H

Heat energy developed in the resistor due to current is given by, H=i2RtH={i}^{2}Rt. Therefore
⇒H∝i2\Rightarrow H\propto {i}^{2} (for t=t= constant)
Now required ratio, HH′=(416)2\dfrac{H}{{H}^{'}}={\left(\dfrac{4}{16}\right)}^{2}
⇒H′=16H\Rightarrow {H}^{'}=16H
