Question 35 of 194

Two simple harmonic motion, are represented by the equations
y1=10sin⁡(3πt+π3);y2=5(sin⁡3πt+3cos⁡3πt){y}_{1}=10\sin \left(3\pi t+\dfrac{\pi }{3}\right);{y}_{2}=5(\sin 3\pi t+\sqrt{3}\cos 3\pi t)
Ratio of amplitude of
y1{y}_{1} to y2=x:1{y}_{2}=x:1. The value of xx is

Show answer and solution

Answer: 1

y1=10sin⁡(3πt+π3){y}_{1}=10\sin \left(3\pi t+\dfrac{\pi }{3}\right)
y2=5[sin⁡3πt+3cos⁡πt]{y}_{2}=5[\sin 3\pi t+\sqrt{3}\cos \pi t]
y2=10sin⁡(3πt+π3)⇒A2A1=1010=1{y}_{2}=10\sin \left(3\pi t+\dfrac{\pi }{3}\right) \Rightarrow \dfrac{{A}_{2}}{{A}_{1}}=\dfrac{10}{10}=1
